Book Stuff...

So yesterday it was my birthday and I became one year closer to hitting 50! Eurgh. That sounds horrifically depressing! Half a century old can't be anything but a bad thing - right?!

Anyway, I have some amazing Facebook buddies who, without my knowledge, set up some giveaways in honour of said birthday in order to help me reach 1000 likes on my author Facebook page. And they bloody well did it! I am now the proud owner of a 1k Like Page! I don't know what that means really, or if it will mean more people actually see my stuff, but it was rather exciting.

I have also had 5 paperback sales now! Whoop! Go me! Which amounts to about a fiver's worth of royalties! It's a joke really, so where this idea that throwing books out every month makes a quick buck has come from I do not know! Indie authors do not make any money really!

So here are some pictures of the gorgeous paperbacks that have been purchased...

And this is me with my proof copy! I stared at it all day I think! And yes, I am kissing it!

So have you got your copy yet?

Rubbish at blogging...

Good morning everyone.

I am ridiculously sorry about the lack of posts recently. I could once again ply you with excuses, but I won't embarrass myself or bore you!

So a few things have been happening in my little book world. I've been overwhelmed by the response to my words and have been so lucky to receive some incredible 5 star reviews. They keep drifting in and each and every one of them floors me. I don't think I will ever get used to this feeling.

Also, my book is now available to buy on paperback! Having the physical book in my hands is indescribable. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that I wrote all those words and all those words form paragraphs and all those paragraphs fit together to make the chapters of a story. I wonder if J K Rowling has these feelings still, or wether it dissipates as time goes on and the more famous you get. Not that I am expecting to come famous any time soon, although it would be bloody lovely!

I have signed my first copy for my sister in law, and that was rather a surreal feeling too!

I went to my first signing in March too. That was an amazing experience. I went as a reader that time, but hopefully, one of these days, I will be behind the table. I think I will ensure I have a couple more books under my belt first.

So anyway. I thought it was about time that I jumped back onto this blogging bandwagon and try to touch base with any of you that actually read this shit!

Ciao for now, Trumpers,
